Orissa win Junior National Power-20 title

Orissa has won the Junior National Power-20 Cricket Championship, which was held at Tiruchirapally (Tamil Nadu) from June 13 to 15. The team was greeted on its returned home yesterday. According to Orissa Power Twenty Cricket Association, the 12-member Orissa team crushed host Tamil Nadu in the final by five wickets. Orissa captain Biranchi Narayan Mishra, teammates Ajit Kumar Nayak and Dhiren Kumar Lenka were adjudged as man of the tournament, man of the final match and best bowler of the tournament respectively. Brief scores: Tamil Nadu 66/10 in 14.2 overs (Lenin Kanungo 3/15, Sunil Kumar Swain 3/7) lost to Orissa 67/5 in 11.2 overs (Ajit Kumar Nayak 42 n.o).
